About me
Hi! I'm Elizabeth Foster, a graduate student based at the University of Cambridge.
With a background in the History and Philosophy of Science as well as the Biomedical Sciences, I work at the intersection of the sciences and humanities. My passion lies in bridging the gap between fields often perceived as too disparate to collaborate, finding fulfillment in creating connections across disciplines.
My research interests have often centered on the history and philosophy of reproductive and sexual health. I've examined topics ranging from 19th-century French medicine to the contemporary complexities of informed consent. Currently, I'm looking towards the future of healthcare. My research explores the ethics of AI applications in medicine, a field that presents both exciting possibilities and important ethical questions. I'm particularly interested in how we can responsibly integrate these new technologies while maintaining the humanistic aspects of healthcare.
Aside from my academic pursuits, I am also a singer, foodie, artist, coxswain, travel-lover, and yoga practitioner.
I invite you to explore my research, review my CV, or listen to some of my musical recordings!
